Board Mount Motion & Position Sensors Triaxis Hi-Speed Resolver feat. MLX90380 Position Sensors
MLX90380 Position Sensors are monolithic contactless sensor ICs sensitive to the flux density applied orthogonally and parallel to the IC surface. MLX90380 sensor ICs are used with a rotating permanent magnet which delivers accurate and contactless sine or cosine dual analog output signals. These sensor ICs feature a wide range of operating temperature, supply voltage, and magnetic flux density, which can resolve the angular position of a rotating axis over 360 degrees. Melexis MLX90380 position sensor ICs are available in SOIC-8 (single die) and TSSOP-16 (dual die fully redundant) packages. Typical applications include absolute rotary position sensors, field-oriented motors, and brushless motors.

POSITION SENSOR DEVELOPMENT TOOLS
The EVB90380 board provides an easy way to connect the MLX90380 Triaxis® resolver IC to a microcontroller or measurement device. There are two boards EVB90380 End of Shaft and EVB90380 Through Shaft. The EVB90380 contains a single MLX90380 IC mounted in the middle of a 25mm x 35mm PCB. The board includes mounting holes for installation into a system and a series of holes on a standard 2.54mm pitch. The necessary passive components are included to allow interfacing via two analog output signals; sine and cosine.
